ברוכים הבאים לאקדמיה היסודית קינג סולומון – בית ספר ייחודי המשלב חינוך לערכים, זהות יהודית־ציונית ושייכות עמוקה, עם למידה מתקדמת, חדשנית ודו־לשונית, בסביבה חמה, מקצועית ומעוררת השראה.
קינג סולומון הוא הרבה מעבר לבית ספר – הוא חממה חינוכית. מרחב של צמיחה, אהבה וכבוד הדדי, המזמן לתלמידות ולתלמידים התפתחות אישית ולימודית בסביבה תומכת, מאפשרת ומעצימה, היוצרת תחושת מוגנות, שייכות וביטחון.
מתוך תפיסת עולם הרואה את החינוך כמכין את הלומד להתנהלות בעולם משתנה, יצרנו בבית הספר “מצפן בית ספרי” –תשתית פדגוגית וערכית המכוונת את העשייה החינוכית בהווה, תוך שמירה על רלוונטיות, גמישות והתאמה לאתגרי העתיד.
בית הספר הוא בית ספר יהודי, והיהדות שזורה בו כחלק בלתי נפרד מאורח החיים הבית־ספרי – בלמידה, בהוויה וברוח הפועמת בו.
לצד העשייה האקדמית מתקיימת תוכנית ערכית יהודית הבאה לידי ביטוי בתפילת בוקר, קבלת שבת שבועית, חגיגות ראש חודש, קבלת סידור, וחיבור יומיומי לערכי היהדות והזהות של העם היהודי.
תוכנית הלימודים מדגישה את היותנו “אקדמיה יסודית” המעניקה לתלמידות ולתלמידים הזדמנות ללמוד לעומק, מתוך סקרנות, אחריות ובחירה אישית.
במסגרת מודל “הסטודנטים הצעירים” משולבים קורסי חובה וקורסי בחירה, בעברית ובאנגלית, הנלמדים באופן ממוקד לאורך סמסטר. לצד זאת מתקיימים:
תלמידי כיתות ה׳–ו׳ לומדים אחת לשבוע במסגרת מגמות ייחודיות, המטפחות בחירה, ביטוי אישי ופיתוח כישרונות:
לימודי האנגלית מתקיימים ברמה גבוהה במיוחד, בדגש על פיתוח חשיבה, סקרנות ויכולת ביטוי. בכל הכיתות נלמדות שמונה שעות אנגלית שבועיות, ובכיתות ה׳–ו׳ נלמדות גם שעת מתמטיקה ושעת מדעים בשפה האנגלית.
בנוסף ללמידה הפורמלית, פועלת בבית הספר תוכנית ערכית רחבה ברוח היהדות, לאורך כל ימות השבוע. כמו כן, מוצעת תוכנית העשרה ותגבור בלימודי יהדות בשעות אחר הצהריים – על פי בחירת התלמידות והתלמידים.
בקינג סולומון אנו מחנכים ילדים להיות מחוברים לשורשיהם, בטוחים בזהותם, ופתוחים לעולם – ילדים עם שורשים עמוקים וכנפיים רחבות.
